Staying in Kihei, Maui, gives you a choice between days close to the beach and trips farther around the island. Start by choosing accommodation that fits your group, then plan the meals and outings that matter most. Leave some mornings free to decide what to do after breakfast.

Choose your condo before planning the daily routine

Look at the beds, kitchen, bathrooms and permitted guest count in the actual listing. HPH's condos are individually owned and furnished, so interiors and equipment vary. Confirm any feature your stay depends on before paying.

Separate walkable plans from driving trips

Some restaurants and shops are close to HPH, while other Kihei businesses require a longer journey. Check the address and the walking route instead of assuming everything in town is beside the property. Use marked crossings when crossing South Kihei Road.

Find a few Kihei restaurants you will use

For breakfast, compare Kihei Caffe's original location at 1945 South Kihei Road with its Maui Coast Hotel branch at 2259 South Kihei Road. Choose the branch before checking hours or setting off.

Nalu's South Shore Grill is at 1280 South Kihei Road in Azeka Makai. Akamai Coffee's Kihei café is at 1325 South Kihei Road in Kihei Plaza. Neither is on Lipoa Street or in Piʻilani Village Shopping Center.

Plan beach time around the conditions

Kamaole Beach II is directly beside HPH, with no road between the property and the beach. It is a public beach. A short walk or time on the sand can fit between other plans without packing for a full day out.

Maui County Ocean Safety lists a lifeguard tower at Kamaole II. Ask a lifeguard about conditions, read the warnings and supervise children closely. The time of day and a beach's reputation do not guarantee safe swimming.

Check the destination's forecast before a day trip as well. Sunshine at the condo does not establish conditions at a mountain, waterfall or offshore reef. Keep another plan available when the weather makes an outing unsuitable.

Leave time for land-based activities

Maui Brewing Company's Kihei restaurant is at 605 Lipoa Parkway, at the brewery headquarters. The restaurant, tasting room and brewery tours have separate arrangements. Check what you are reserving or visiting, and confirm tour participation requirements separately from restaurant admission.

Book longer excursions as separate days
