Looking for an island adventure or a day trip that the whole family can enjoy?
We’ve got you covered! You’ll see some of the most popular activities on Maui below.
When you’re ready to book, we recommend Concierge Connection. Some activities (like luaus) book up well in advance, particularly during peak season — so be sure to plan ahead!
Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening or a family-friendly affair, you’ll find a variety of luaus on Maui. You’ll be treated to music, hula dancing, and other entertainment, and will be sure to leave with a belly full of delicious Hawaiian food and drink.
Snorkeling & Scuba Diving
Everyone has their favorite snorkel and scuba spot on Maui, and by the time you leave you just might as well! From right off the beach in front of Hale Pau Hana to a trip to Lana’i to swim with the dolphins, there’s something for everyone, and for every level of ability.
North Pacific Humpback Whales migrate over 3,500 miles from their summer feeding grounds in Alaska to their winter home in Hawaii every year. From November through May you have the chance to see these gentle giants. Take it all in from your lanai, or join a boat tour out on the ocean for a close up view.
Road To Hana
This is basically a rite of passage for anyone visiting Maui. You can even buy a T-shirt that says, “I Drove the Road to Hana.” Set aside a day for this trip, as the Hana Highway is beautiful and winding, and you’ll want to make frequent stops at waterfalls, ocean vistas, and all the roadside stands for yummy local snacks.
Does flying through a jungle of tropical flowers and mango trees sound good to you? Try a zipline tour! Learn about the flora and fauna of the island while soaring with the birds. This is a family favorite.
Sunrise at Haleakala
Put on the coffee and get up early to see the sun rise over Haleakala, a dormant volcano 10,000 feet above sea level. Follow it up with a hike into the 3,000-foot deep crater, bike back down into town, or just head back to the beach for a nap.
Hiking, Biking, and Horseback Riding
Hit the Upcountry and discover a whole new side of Maui. There are endless opportunities for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. You can head out on your own, but on guided tours you’ll learn more about the culture, history, geology, and botany of the island. And don’t forget to top off your hard work with a dip in a waterfall pool!
Sit back, enjoy the air conditioning, and explore some of Maui’s most significant cultural sights. You’ll learn all about the island on one of these guided tours to Haleakala, the Road to Hana, Upcountry Maui, Iao Valley, and more.
There’s nothing quite like seeing Maui from above. Explore the valleys of the West Maui Mountains, see remote cliffs, and fly above the lush rainforest. Some tours will take you along a coastal route, while others hover over the moon-like views of Haleakala Crater — no matter which you choose, this is an experience you won’t soon forget!
